I am often asked, "how did you become a closet designer?"

In 2005, I started  working for a kitchen company. About one week in, the closet designer for their sub-company left and I was asked if I wanted to try it. The rest, they say, is "history".

I learned the basics of closet design while working for Clinton Closet Company for 2 years. During the next 10 years I was able to grow in my field while being the lead designer for Sophisticated Storage Solutions. After a short time designing for DCS Closets and Storage Systems, a division of Direct Cabinet Sales, a new opportunity was afforded to me. I have enjoyed working for companies that allowed me creative license and the ability to design in a way to better suit my client's needs.

At the start of 2019, I formed a partnership with my "closet twin" Patty Miller and we opened up Boutique Closets and Cabinetry, LLC.  We are able to provide our clients with custom closets and cabinetry made of either Melamine or wood. If you can dream it, we will find a way to build it!

As a member of the  Association of Closet & Storage Professionals (ACSP), I  continuously work on advancing my education and subject knowledge. It is with great pride that I was able to become the first designer in New Jersey to reach the highest level of certification, Master Storage Designer. I currently serve as the Director of  Education for the ACSP and am the incoming ACSP president for 2019-20.
